Tiffany I agree 100% with you!! I feel like I really awoke to my true, powerful self while reading the book. Those same chapters really resonated with me as well. I realized how much I was attached to an identity that wasn't even serving me. Now I see that I was too identified with my past and trapped in an illusion. I've been doing a lot of shadow work so the recommendations you gave sound great! I also would love to read something by wayne dyer, louise hay or Oprah's new book "What Happened to You? Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing"

Hey all! Just finished the book at 5 am this morning. The last 3 chapters were so good I had to keep reading until the end. It has really opened my eyes to just how blindly I have been living. Even with all of my work "thinking" I was truly surrendering or practicing spirituality and getting in touch with my God-self...this book made me realize that I haven't fully been on the track since I can honestly say that I haven't been fully "present" for most of it. Even now I am catching myself thinking forwards and backward. I am very aware that I am doing it now so I can recognize it. The chapters on Space, relationships, and the victim identity were so impactful. I felt like he was talking about me. So many AH HA! moments to count. I have highlighted so many passages and definitions, I even pulled a few affirmations out of it. This was an awesome read. For the next book, I recommend "Dodging Energy Vampires: An Empath's Guide to evading relationships that drain you and restoring your health and power" by Christine Northrup MD. (I actually started this one and its incredible so far) or a new book that was recommended that I just got in the mail "It Didn't Start With You: How inherited family trauma shapes who you are and how to end the cycle" by Mark Wolynn.
